Environmentalism

Our sugarcane alcohol requires half of the energy to produce than the corn alcohol used in other hand sanitizer brands, which helps preserve the environment.

Using Frais regularly will help avoid many common contagions, and this helps protect the environment by saving substantial resources devoted to medicine for ailments like flu, colds, and staph. This costs $70 billion in America each year, US$650 per household! . This avoidable medical care which consumes huge amounts of resources: facilities, medical packaging, and transportation, is mostly preventable around the world.

Our packaging is made of recyclable LDPE, HDPE and polypropylene plastic and recyclable paper.  Please check the recycling symbol on the package and recycle appropriately after using.

We never test our products or our ingredients on animals. Frais Hand Sanitizer is certified by People for Ethical Treatment for Animals (PETA) as a cruelty free, vegan cosmetic producer. We do test our product for sensitivity with human volunteers.

Our Sydney headquarters sources Green power such as wind and solar.  In 2008, we performed an audit of electricity use at our headquarters and identified inefficiencies which resulted in a 20% reduction in power consumption.  We encourage other businesses to do the same.

Charitable Work

Frais™ donates part of profits to Just A Drop Foundation.  Just A Drop supports water, sanitation and health projects around the world and also helps in disaster relief efforts when the most basic human need is clean water.  For example, in Cambodia, they built fifty new wells in nine villages, restored five other wells and launched a community health program.  They have been involved in similar programs in North East India,  Bolivia, Afghanistan, and Sudan, and are planning efforts in other nations.  Every purchase of Frais supports their work.

Just a Drop has launched a Just Help Haiti Appeal to co-ordinate activity to supply clean safe water to Haiti following the disaster in January 2010. Following the natural disaster, hundreds of people have died without access to clean, safe water supplies, while 50% of people currently in hospitals in Haiti are there due to dirty water. Just a Drop is calling for donations to provide on-going support for villages and their communities over the forthcoming months so that the recovery process is sustained and displaced communities are able to return to their homes, schools and villages. This is essential post the immediate relief agency work. Go to Just a Drop to find out how to help.

Just a Drop Foundation has not endorsed Frais products or determined them to be superior. Frais compensates Just a Drop for the use of their name and logo with a percentage of wholesale product revenue quarterly with no minimum or maximum contribution. This exclusive charitable campaign will expire on 12/31/11
